Questions

The practical things, answered.

If yours isn’t here, ask us. A person replies.

What is included in the price?

Transport in a safari vehicle with a pop-up roof, a driver-guide, park entry fees, accommodation, meals on safari and drinking water. Your quote lists exactly what is and is not included for your trip.

What is not included?

International flights, visas, travel insurance, tips, drinks, and optional extras such as a balloon flight or a village visit.

What is the difference between camping and lodge safaris?

The game drives are the same. Camping means tented camps with simpler facilities and a lower price. Lodge means a private bathroom, more comfort and a higher price.

How does a joining safari work?

You share the vehicle with other travellers, usually four to seven people, which brings the price down. You have your own tent or room. It is ideal if you are travelling alone.

When is the best time to come?

June to October is dry and best for wildlife, and July to October is migration season in the Maasai Mara. January to March is also good, greener and quieter. April, May and November are the rainy months, with the lowest prices.

What should I pack?

Neutral-coloured clothes, a warm layer for early mornings, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars and a camera. Bring a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase if you can.

Can you collect me from the airport?

Yes. We run transfers from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and Wilson Airport, and can book a Nairobi hotel for the night before and after your safari.

How do I pay?

By card or through Pesapal. We confirm the deposit, the balance date and the cancellation terms in writing with your quote.

Is a safari suitable for children?

Yes. Tell us their ages when you ask for a quote and we will plan shorter drives, family rooms and a private vehicle.

Still have a question?

Send it over. We will answer it and, if you like, quote your trip at the same time.
